CBT Dublin – Employers and Employee Information

CBT DUBLIN EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME (EAP)

Information for Employers

CBT Dublin’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a way for employers to offer a helping hand to employees that they value and want to support.

Some employees may be experiencing workplace stressors or personal difficulties that are getting in the way of their time management or productivity. The stressors could be outside factors, or could be directly related to the work environment.

Either way, you may wish to support your employees in order to maximise their workplace satisfaction and personal potential.

CBT Dublin can offer a set number of Counselling and CBT appointments to employees, and invoice your company directly. This arrangement usually lasts for between two and six sessions, after which the employee can pay themselves to continue their Counselling if they so wish.

Specific content of Counselling sessions remains confidential at all times.

How Does The Employee Benefit?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a therapy based on the important relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviour.  How we think and how we behave affects how we feel.  This in turn goes on to affect the situation, and how things are going to work out.  CBT applies to workplace situations just as it does to everyday life.

How we think and how we approach situations is really important.  But our beliefs, values, judgements, expectations and mindset don’t evolve overnight – they are often a result of our past experiences and past relationships.  Unfortunately, they can be based on conjecture or misinformation as easily as on accurate data.  Helping people to examine their beliefs and ideas can have a profound change on how they see and interact with the world around them.

CBT is a short-term, goal-focused and evidence-based form of therapy that helps clients identify and change unproductive patterns, and replace these with more constructive ones.
